WHY SO SERIOUS!

EB Games recently added a curious new game to its database of upcoming Nintendo DS games: Metroid Pinball, listed for a December 2005 release date.

Nintendo had never officially announced the product prior to this entry in the EB release lists, and when asked about the product, a Nintendo representative noted, "Nintendo does not comment on rumors or speculation."

The idea certainly has enough merit to believe that there's some truth to the possibility of this game's existence. A dual-screen, 3D rendered pinball game, whacking Morph Ball Samus around alien-infested space stations does have certain air of potential.

Officially, the game doesn't exist, but we'll keep you informed if this status changes.

Ok this sounds a bit whacked, maybe we need some screens to see how they are doing it?

I love pinball games (I am sitting next to my Gottlieb Volley pinball machine right now B) ), and this sounds like it has promise, but how will it use the DS's unique features I wonder?

Metroid Pinball would work well.. since samus can morph into a ball and her abilitys would also be very suitable in pinball game.

e.g.
dropping mines to blow up doors/walls or floors to reach new areas.. etc..

It's got alot of possibilitys where a game like this could go.

Wake Up.
I don't think it will be like conventional pinball, instead you have missions to do, using the ball to move around.
