Jam with the Band (aka Dai Gassou! Band Brothers (jp)) is probably one the best early DS titles. It's up there with Mario 64DS and Warioware: Touched. I've had it for quite a while now, and its the DS title that I come back to most, mainly because of its incredible level of challenge.

If you are at all inclined toward bemani games, this one is a must.

I posted impressions and pics on my blog a while back:

Yes, it definitely is coming out in the western world as Jam With The Band. The songs will most likely change though (as there's a lot of J-pop in the original).

Well, as you know, the DS is region free, so you could always pick up an import copy if they do change the songs.

Isn't it all in japanese and stuff? Which would make it harder to understand and all :P

Where do you import games from?

Yeah, it is all in japanese, but it's not too hard to get your head around.

I import from play-asia and ncsx. I also impulse buy occasionally from Game Infinity in chinatown (Sydney). They stock most major import titles, but you pay the earth for them.

I'll definitely be picking up this title when it is in a language I can understand!

Agreed. I'll wait for an English version.
