Somehow avoided this thread and the pic one, but after reading it all this morning instead of doing my real work I'd better post.

29, married nearly 6 years, with newly pregnant wife (28). I got a NES in 1990 and still have it, my brother has an original Gameboy, I've got a GBA SP (sold my GBA), N64, GC, DS, DS lite and a Wii from launch (first launch console ever apart from the GBA SP). My wife is a big NES fan as is her brother who got a Wii the same time. I was born in Sydney, lived most of my life in QLD and live in Melbourne. Did a Bsc in biology/Cell and molecular biology, Honours like lexie in micro, the moved to Melb to do my PhD in '99 in Micro at Monash. These days work for a well known biotech company as a sales/manager/tech/forensics/application specialist. Aiming to go back to QLD so most of my area is up there although I do bits of Melb and also Tas. have to see how we go with the little one and my wife would have to change jobs, shes a manager (1 down from the partners) at an accounting firm.

I'm the original woofy, although the name has been pinched in a few cases in some places on the net. I like cars, I have two-both Mazdas, one close to my heart that my wife mainly drives a 2002 special edition 323 Protege that I had a weak moment and spent stupid amounts getting a sunroof in. I also have a 8mth old black Mazda 6 with Drdave number plates...lol....that car is alright but not as fun as the blue one.

Oh forgot, also have a big love for guitars, but hardly have the time, I have an old 70s/80s strat copy that I'm going to strip repaint and make into a wall decoration if I can't get it to work after putting some humbuckers in it and also have a valvestate Marshall, also have a newish black Fender US strat thats barely been touched....curse you busyness!

Not sure if I've posted here before or not, and as I'm returning to the forums with a force lately, I thought I'd re-introduce myself

Hi!

I'm Funky J!

I'm a games tester for Krome Studios Adelaide, and a writer and occasional DJ.

Been online as FunkyJ (or Funky J) since 1996, and writing for street mags and internet sites since around 2000. Also been DJing since about then too.

I don't beat around the bush and I'm pretty vocal about what I like and dislike, so hopefully won't tread on anyone's toes :D

I'm a relative n00b to Nintendo - I was always a PC gamer first and foremost.

Sure, I played Mariocart and a bit of Mario64 on the N64, but never owned a console (although I did own the Donkey Kong watch & game)...

After buying an Xbox in early 2003 (sick of continually upgrading my PC!) then got a job working at Ratbag in 2004 and it was those guys who convinced me to get a gamecube for RE4, and that began my journey with Nintendo!

TBH I welcome any kind of gamer FunkyJ. I'm pretty sure Chewy (another member) has absolutely no Nintendo consoles and still makes great posts :D

Hello all,

I’m Daniel Johnson, I’m an 18 year old guy from the Southern end of Australia. Currently I’m at Uni studying linguistics and Chinese. Much like any person my age I enjoy spending time with my friends and family but specifically I have interests in video games, anime, Chinese, digital design and music. I also hold a steady casual position as a sales assistant for the SA department store Harris Scarfes.

Well thats the default introduction done. I hope I enjoy my stay here.
