Quote: TOKYO-While this year's Tokyo Game Show was expected to serve as the unveiling of playable PlayStation 3 games, the only PlayStation 3 controller at the show is sitting behind a Plexiglas window in front of the theater that's showing a running loop of PlayStation 3 trailers. While the months since E3 have led to much discussion about the controller's design, Sony apparently isn't ready to set the boomerang design down in stone as the final controller for its upcoming console. Right next to the display controller at TGS 2005 is a small sign that reads, "conceptual design." We'll have more from the Tokyo Game Show 2005 this weekend. http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/09/16/news_6133405.html Good I say. The current PS2 controller is terrible for precision and FPS games. So the PS3 controller wouldn't be much better I wouldn't think.

Posts: 4,511 Group: Moderators Member #53 Joined: February 19, 2005	i feared that this would happen at TGS. now with the Revolution's controller revealed, theres a possibility that sony will take concepts from the Rev and create something, "new" tho, the risks in doing something like Nintendo are high for Sony. Nintendo knew what they were doing. Sony never has a clue with what they're doing.

Oblivion > * Posts: 877 Group: Members Member #41 Joined: February 16, 2005	Same here Tony_Montana, perhaps another peripheral for some games which might borrow some ideas from the Rev controller but I think they are safe with their own approach to the games industry. I for one don't mind the PS3 controller, it looks fairly comfortable and from reports from people who have held it, they say it fits quite naturally into their hands.

PS1 came from the SNES, PS2 came from Dreamcast i think it was, or was it a IBM computer? i dunno, i just know that with the PS3, they're on their own.
