WHY SO SERIOUS!
AU: Gears 2 Giveaway – 22 Days of Mayhem
Two million Microsoft points up for grabs. And a ute.

Australia, October 16, 2008 - Microsoft is kicking off its '22 Days of Mayhem' campaign today, whereby one lucky gamer will win 100,000 Microsoft points and a signed poster from Gears 2 design director Cliff Bleszinski each day until the November 7 launch of Gears of War 2. 22 days, 22 winners. Hence the 22 Days of Mayhem tag. Want in on the action?

Simply hop online and start playing the original Gears of War multiplayer offering. Of course, there's a major prize as well – a Ford Falcon Ute, but to be in the running for that you'll need to play at least one multiplayer game of the original Gears of War on Xbox Live each day across the 22 days to enter the draw.

"22 Days of Mayhem is a call to arms for Gears of War fans to play multi-player in anticipation for the launch of Gears of War 2," said Andrew Jenkins, Product Marketing Manager, games & LIVE, Microsoft. "We know Australian gamers love to play Gears of War and we want to reward fans who are playing the game in anticipation of the upcoming sequel."

This is pretty awesome, alas it's a shame I never played GOW online and no longer own it to do so.

Good luck to anyone who does do it though.
