It's obvious there's about a billion different places to shop online for games, and some places can be really dodgy. So you do you recommend? Who do you suggest to avoid? Best prices? Best service? List 'em below and hopefully we can help people avoid the worst places. Thanks to slim_reapr for the idea. :) From my experience: DVDcrave - Fantastic. Utterly, utterly fantastic. When I ordered something that turned out to be out of stock they called me to tell me of all the options available to resolve the problem. When I said I wanted what I ordered they said no prob, if I don't mind waiting a week. And I didn't. :) Excellent prices, extremely good postage rates, friendly service and small discounts on preorders. True Gamer - Good service. Not always the best price, but I had very speedy shipment and a smooth transaction overall. Game Head - Decent store. They're not as competitively priced as they used to be, and their release dates can be a little dodgy. |

Im gonna put in a minus for Ebay,at least with DS games.I spent a solid couple of weeks trawling through the ds section with a list of games in my head and didnt see a single genuine bargain and very rarely any good deals.I guess people just assume that because they bought a game off Ebay means they got the best possible price for it,no matter what they paid for it. |

Ah. I forgot to sticky it. Ta, Ingram.
:) Yes, ebay can be quite dubious when it comes to DS games. People selling Nintendogs for $100 and stuff. Fftt. |

I give DVDcrave a +1 too. I also suggest Lik-sang for the list. They're good if they have something you just can't get anywhere else, but only buy games from them if they qualify for free shipping since they're prices are a tad inflated. Also as far as yank games go Games Universe is pretty damn good. Their prices are great (and when US prices beat Aussie prices normally anyway, that's a good thing) and if your order goes above a certain value you get free express shipping. Also, Acerlyte and I just bought a bunch of DS games from an ebay guy in Hong Kong. This is actually the guy I bought my original black DS from as well as Mario Kart and Advance Wars. All his prices are less than 50 AUD, in some cases less than 40 AUD. Shipping is a bit of a kicker though at 12 AUD, but you get a discount of 3 bucks for each extra game you get. He deals mostly in imports (US/JP), so if there's something you just can't get in Australia he's a good place to try. You can see his Ebay store here When Gyakuten Saiban 2 (PW Justice For All JP version) comes out in october I'll comment on Play-asia :) Edit: Speak of the devil... the games just arrived. They were shipped last Wednesday so that was pretty quick. |
