Maybe the show is too closely based on the books? Can't say I've even heard of them before, let alone read them.
Apparently not, the show deviates quite a lot from the books. The ending of the series is actually the start of the second book.

I have to say it though, I can't stand Tara, she annoys the shit outta me.

I like all the characters except Tara, her mum, Jason & and his hippy gf. Although I guess Tara was funny at times with her outright hostility.

Jason CAN be cool, but man, he's just too capable of being influenced for his own good, and it gets annoying.

Tara's complete lack of caring what people think can be pretty cool at times. The opening scene with her when she quits her job at the hardware store was awesome.

I think 310 remains the peak of the season, but damn 311 was pretty awesome too. Though I could have done without the blatant titty flashing in the bachelor party. In fact I could have dealt without the bachelor party altogether.

Sense is not common.
Housemates were watching A Current Tonight or whatever. They had a special on buying video games for Christmas, with categories for boys, girls (Disney Singstar, yeah, total winner), adults and... interactive. Because, y'know, not all games are interactive. At all.

The interactive winner was Guitar Hero. Which is one of the least engaging games I know. Ok, I've never actually admitted this, but I don't like Guitar Hero. It's Super Mario, people! Finger-twitching to hit a chord or pounce a goomba while the screen scrolls is still button mashing.
