World's blankiest blank
|
Been playing the demo for this and I'm very excited. If the demo is anything to go by it's going to be very very good! Wow, so many things about it that I like. I'll just list some that I can think of, off the top of my head: - small number of units to choose from, keeps it simple, yet allows for several different strategies - need to maintain supply lines to keep resources coming in - units in buildings actually fire out of windows and vice versa. If a building doesn't have windows on one side you can't defend against that side - destructible environments. Drive tanks through walls & hedges, blow up bridges, reduce buildings to rubble, make craters with artillery - explosion and smoke effects are the best I've ever seen in a RTS - focus on small squad based armies, not just build 50 tanks and swarm opponent - all the skirmishes I've played against the computer so far have ended up being about capturing and holding key points of the map, like a certain bridge or town, exactly like it would be in real life. Anyway, yeah this game is going to be awesome. Definitely wins my RTS of the year award, after only playing the demo. :1thumbup: |

Been playing this game quite heavily lately. Played a 4 player game over hamachi the other night that went for 2 hours. I still maintain this is the RTS of the year. Anyone else playing it? |

No, but man, i'm going to get this. RTS are fun, Rise of Nations, Age of Mythology, Age of empires 3 etc. Moebius, that fire out the window sounds coolschool. Edit: I just checked on http://www.SRTest.com/ and i can run it well on minimum settings, and with recomended i only fail 2 things It says you should have a 256mb geforce 6800 or higher and i have a 256mb geforce 6600. It still ticks all the boxes , with pixel shader etc so it should work. I also fail processor. Mines 2Ghz and recomended is 3. |

I've got a 6600gt and a AMD64 +3200 so I guess I don't meet those recommended either, but it still runs fine with a couple of lighting/shadow options turned off. |

Is a GT that much of an improvement over the standard 6600? |

Did you like Dawn of War? I found it good to play, but with all those weird units. It was like h4x0r t3h futur3. I don't think you can upgrade the VC memory.. Buy a new memory card. P.S: Whats your processor speed? |
