Rez HD is a rail shooter sorta like Panzer Dragoon or Space Harrier (if you're old school) from Q Entertainment, (the creators of Lumines, Every Extend, Gunpey and a bunch of other music oriented games) and will be hitting this month for 800 MS points.

Here's a vid:

Obviously not for everyone, but I reckon it's a must have :)

I got the demo earlier and lexie and myself gave it a play. I'm pretty sure I'll drop 800 points down on this. It's pretty wicked.

1UP review, incase the demo somehow doesn't persuade you to buy the full game...

Edit: Oh shit. OK. It's not just a review, it's also an interview with Mizuguchi, the guy that created the game (along with a whole host of other Q Entertainment and Sega games). Definitely worth a watch if you care about this game. He has surprisingly good English!

HOLY smegING SHIT THE LAST LEVEL IS AWESOME. The boss battle especially.
I got the bad ending 'cause I fail :P
But I don't feel bad 'cause apparently the difficulty in the game scales with how well you do, so I guess I just did awesome earlier? Shh, let me pretend!

61FPS has a feature titled "Rez’s Journey From Proof-of-Concept to Game". It's pretty interesting stuff, if you're a fan of the game. I'm so glad Mizuguchi got a chance to make the game, and I'm even more glad it found a home and fanbase on XBLA.

Tetsuya Mizuguchi was already a respected game designer when the Dreamcast released in 1998, thanks in large part to his expert work on the home conversion of Sega Rally in the mid-90s, but it wasn’t until he began working on Sega’s ill-fated final system that he expressed his true creative voice. Mizuguchi’s reputation is built on his designs blending gameplay and music (as in Derrick’s fav Gunpey). Dreamcast’s Rez, Mizuguchi’s minimalist synesthesia masterpiece, is arguably the purest meeting between traditional play and music generation ever made. Rez wasn’t born whole into the world however. As you can see from this early footage, Rez started out as Project K, and the changes it underwent could not be more dramatic.
