Decided to put it on the back burner now though. I thought MGS4 would be the thing that got me excited enough to do it, but it's no longer my system seller. Reckon I'll be getting a new TV with my tax refund instead. Current one is great for games, but I wanna be able to run higher res stuff off my PC... I go through moments like this though, where I drop off playing games in favour of something else. Exact same thing happened the year before I bought a DS, all of my gaming purchases halted and I was buying other stuff instead.

Deleted User	It seems that sales of the PS3 in Britain increased by 7% over MGS4's opening weekend, which one analyst at least is calling minimal. So it looks like DSA is following some trend at least, with MGS4 alone not being reason enough to justify the purchase of a PS3. Article

But, an increase in sales is an increase... gg Sony, perhaps there will be another title to sway the rest of the market.

Honestly I am disappointed and have no trouble calling this the worst game of the series, however, it is still a great game. Very glad I didn't sell my Wii to get a PS3 though.
