Sometimes I think I was born backwards
OK, so, earlier last week I was introduced to this awesome show just as its first season ended. It's superb. I don't think I've seen another thing like it on television (some shows similar in feel, but not the premise).
To quote the Wiki...
Quote:

Orphaned at the age of three and harboring a traumatic secret, Dexter was adopted by a Miami police officer who recognized his homicidal tendencies and taught his son to channel his gruesome passion for human vivisection in a "constructive" way—by killing only heinous criminals who have slipped through the cracks of justice. A respected forensic expert and a perfect gentleman with a soft spot for children, Dexter is hard not to like. Although his drive to kill is unflinching, he struggles to emulate normal emotions and to keep up appearances as a caring, socially-responsible human being.
Obviously the show ain't for kids. Even if it weren't for the gruesome premise, it's a bit too cerebral for youngin's. Each episodes lasts for around 55 mins (not including ad breaks) and there's 12 episodes in the first season - about the average length of a standard TV season in total viewing time.
No word on whether the show will be hitting Australia, apparently there's no chance in hell of it reaching the UK, but there might be hope. In the meantime, you can check out the first 40 mins of the first episode via the following Youtube links:

Episode 1 part 1
Episode 1 part 2
Episode 1 part 3
Episode 1 part 4

Come on in and vouch for the series Ingram :P

It's SuperCalaFreakinAwesome!
Yes indeed I was getting quite engrossed in that first ep... until the 4th part WASN'T the 4th part of the show at all but the 2nd part!!!! I REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS AT THE END OF THIS EP!!!

Otherwise this show has some pretty awesome potential, really enjoy the way it's presented too. Has a very odd atmosphere about it which suits the character a lot :)
Recently finished: Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank:TOD, Bionic Commando Rearmed
Playing: LittleBigPlanet, Rockband!!!111

Yes. In under 3 months I went from being a 360 owner to a PS3 owner. Idiotic? Maybe. Financial Stupidity? Definately. Do I care? No bloody way! :D

 Sorry. It's probably for the best that they don't bring Dexter's Lab back though, I wasn't fond of the last season...

The last season sucked, but i was hoping maybe they were sticking to the old routes. That show was awesome.

I can't even remember the theme song.

"In Dexter's Laboratory, he was the smartest boy who ever lived!"

Was that it? Or part of it?

World's blankiest blank
I've been watching episodes every now and then since it aired, I'm up to 8 or 9 I think. Pretty good show, nice and original but it's a bit heavy at times. Good when I'm in the mood though.

I finished the series the other day. I really like the way it ended, it wrapped up the story arc very well while leaving the possibility of another season.

WHY SO SERIOUS!
I took my PC out into the lounge room tonight to test my half dead HDTV Tuner card on the other antenna. Ended up screening Dexter 1x01 for my mother to watch. I think she's into it...

I watched it with her since I had nothing better to do. Damn weird seeing everyone again right at the beginning.

EDIT:

I just got myself the 2 books in audio format. Looks like my actual reading books will be put on hold to listen to these books :D
