WHY SO SERIOUS!
|
Welcome to the Rate-A-Rig Thread Rate-A-Rig is where you post the specs of your rig and big it up. Other members then rate that person's rig on a scale of 1-100. 100 being the best and 1 being a bati boy rig. It would be good to hear a bit more about your rigs. Things like what you like or dislike about them, how it performs in games you play and any troubles you have had and solved. Please keep your experiences to one post if you can. My current system is: Amd 2800+ Barton Asus A7N8X Corsair 2x512 TwinX DDR Ati Radeon 9800 Pro 2 x 120Gb IDE HDD's, one Seagate, one Western Digital Cooler Master Centurion 5 Case Pioneer 111D DVD Burner Liteon 16X DVD-Rom 17" Samtron 75E CRT monitor Logitech 5.1 I've had this system for a very very long time. Never really had any major issues with it. When it started to struggle with the latest and greatest games coincidently my interest in gaming overall took a decline so it really didn't effect me all that much. I use it as a Home Theater PC as well and it serves that purpose well enough. Pictures: Posted Image Posted Image if you look really closely in picture 2 you can spot capacitors that are leaking :P This time next week I will have a new pc and will thus repost my info! |

yeah, going to throw in another 512 stick and get a vid card for around $100. you can get a decent card at the price right? i actually need the things i listed to be able to run WoW at a consistent smooth performance. i currently lag (frame rate drops way down) when i'm in populated areas. |

Er about 200-300 for a decent card
:P I'd go a Geforce 8800 GTS 320Mb. Around 300ish and will play WOW like it's Tetris. |

Right you are, Ken

I'm not great with computers, but I'll post the specs I can think of (case is a bitch to open). Beware, mine is outdated (we're getting a new case soon though XD): *P4 2.4 CPU (not overclocked) *AGP 9800XT Graphics Card *Windows XP operating system (hey, some people do still use 2000. Or some may have already upgraded to Vista) *512MB RAM *450W PSU *No idea what brand the motherboard is sorry *Basic speakers, but we're putting Logitech 5.1 speakers with the new case when we get it *Boring beige coloured case but meh who cares *Samsung SyncMaster 713N LCD Screen *CD ROM Drive *DVD ROM Drive and burner *One case fan I think that's everything...... |
