It's the same sprite graphics of Duke 3D except they're redone to support resolutions upto 1080p (well It certainly doesn't look shabby and pixelated), however, if you're running a widescreen tv, the game shows some bars on either side of the image.

3D realms chose not to redo the game so it will support widescreen, they wanted to keep that "old school" Duke 3D feel and this prevents the screen from stretching it to 16:9/10... although there's an option to turn off these bars so it might stretch it (can't test it since I'm running the 360 on a 4:3... classy) :lol:

Sometimes I think I was born backwards
No real point in them trying to get it to work in 16:9. They'd either end up with smeared/ugly graphics or having it stretched.
