I think it's safe to blame Ubisoft for ripping any subtly and unique qualities the story had right out from underneath it... Kinda reminds me of Army of Two now that I think about it. Had so much promise in its story and even its game mechanics, but then all of it got chucked out to appeal to... who knows?
