Driver nvlddmkm stopped working; vista driver problem

I have had this problem for a long time. I fixed it about 2 months ago, but now it has come crawling back up my arse.

The game freezes up, gives me a black screen. I must do the old ctrl-alt-del. I have a balloon come up in the bottom corner saying that nvlddmkm Display Driver Stopped Responding and Has Recovered.

I reboot and it persists.

Could somebody PLEASE help me find a solution, i have searched everywhere, using google including the nvidia forums. Please help.

NVL? Gonna take a stab in the dark and assume it's an nVidia driver. Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling your vid card/mobo/whatever is nVidia drivers?

I have fixed this before. (btw, i did realise after a google search it was nvidia driver. Not being rude or anything)
I just couldn't remember. It seems to happen after everytime i install a new game. But then it happens for ALL of the games.

Uninstalling drivers effed mty comp up and i had to do all this nerd stuff. Installed new drivers and CoD4 works, remains to be seen if Crysis does.
