\|\| JimJim \|\| Posts: 6,455 Group: Moderators Member #21 Joined: February 11, 2005	For those with Foxtel/Austar, you would definitely have noticed that during the two weeks of the Olympics, FOX8 has been running the 24/7 'battle of the animations' marathon, which I am very much enjoying. So, who should win and why? My thoughts on the shows: The Simpsons - Absolutely love the old seasons (pretty much anything pre-2003-ish), can't even watch the new episodes, so as an overall series, I'm unsure what to think. Futurama - Again, I really love this show, seen it a million times over, what it has over The Simpsons is consistency, all '5' seasons of Futurama are awesome. Although these new movie/cut-up episodes are fairly underwhelming Family Guy - The show that rose from cancellation/obscurity to become one of the top 10 shows on pay TV, really shows the power of DVD sales. I also love FG, but it is very 'hit and miss' particularly in the later seasons (5 and 6). American Dad! - Easily my favourite animation atm, both seasons were awesome and I'm anticipating the day I eventually purchase the third DVD set, kinda like FG, but without the random-ness and more consistent King of the Hill - I never really got this show, I haven't really watched it enough to make a proper judgement... :S DISCUSS

I loved the second movie a lot, the TV series was pure gold and even the first movie was pretty good. American Dad gets an honourable mention and the Simpsons gets a fake yawn to let it know we want it to leave so we can go to bed. I guess for Family Guy I've only seen the "miss" episodes, 'cause what I HAVE seen has been pretty damn crap. American Dad is so much better.

うるさい!!! Posts: 4,511 Group: Moderators Member #53 Joined: February 19, 2005	Futurama for me. Simpsons is classic stuff but the new seasons have been like yeah.. Family Guy is also good, hell, the Family Guy craze that was in high school didnt happen for no reason, though some of the stuff gets repetitive imo Futurama however is, like Demaar said, just pure gold. American Dad i liked for a few episodes then went meh, and as for King of the Hill, havent really seen that.
