“Rock Band 2 lets you and your friends play as a virtual 4-person band, in person or online, to rock out to some of the biggest rock anthems from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s. Rock Band 2 will be a full featured sequel, similar to full featured sequels you see released by other big video game franchises, such as Need for Speed, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy, Call of Duty, or Halo. In the music/rhythm genre, it is similar to the feature jumps made from Guitar Hero I to Guitar Hero II or Guitar Hero II to Guitar Hero III.”

 If it lets me play all my RB1 DLC, bring it on. Kinda hope they find some way to redesign the drums without breaking compatibility. I'd buy a whole new kit if they put the red pad/snare in the middle of the other three pads. Not even GHWT is doing that :/

 I must say that the band in the second boxart look like a bunch of zombies out of something like RE. Mixing genres or is it just a commentary on the music scene in general?

Rock Band still hasn't really touched down in the EU/AU and they're announcing a sequel!?

 Well... it came out last November in the US, and with GH World Tour on the way it'd be suicide not to at least announce something.

 TBH they should probably call off RB1's release here and release the disc as a song expansion for RB2 or something, lol
