Edit: See JimJim's post for the latest details from E3 '08

Surprised there wasn't already a thread. Anywho, Nintendo's recent financial reports have "accidentally" confirmed the releases of a bunch of Wii games for this year, Animal Crossing included. Sure, the list is for Japan, but it's still good news.

It's nice to have AC officially confirmed for the Wii. I hope it really evolves the series as ACWW was really AC (english) v1.5. It's good to know that there are good things in store for the Wii in the future.

Hmm... wouldn't it be good to have a DS tie-in game as well? I seriously doubt it, but there's not much first party stuff that we know about for the DS coming up.

Interesting. Are you sure about this list though? I mean, if it's Japanese (as the name Mina no Joshikiriyoku TV would have us believe) then why is Animal Crossing called Animal Crossing? Even if it's a temporary name, surely they'd still call it Doubutsu no Mori?

It'd be awesome if it is coming out this year though! ^_^

That's a very good point, Red. What's the source for that leak?

I'm drop dead excited about Animal Crossing on the Wii. But I know it's going to happen, so whenever it comes out is fine by me.

I'm a little disheartened to see that Disaster Day of Crisis still doesn't have a reliable date. Wasn't this going to be an almost launch window game?

Well, past release charts I've seen leaked from Nintendo (one of which I got from their own press site) only has Japanese titles for games without a localised name, so it's not that weird that there's one game on there with a Japanese title, and another with a US.

Figured I'd post this here since I'm pretty sure everyone's tired of Wild World (prove me wrong!), made me smile :)

Animal Crossing Wii

For those who saw the latest ONM, you would have seen the obvious preview for AC in next months issue, but now we have a confirmation through staff member, Tom East's blog:

…those of you who have read the new issue of Official Nintendo Magazine should already know that Animal Crossing Wii will be unveiled at the conference.

My life is now complete. :)

... Well, not really. I'm quite concerned about ACWii and charged DLC, but we'll see how things go.

I'm not going to bother getting excited until they show a game that isn't just GC Animal Crossing only with button presses replaced with motions.
