Ok basically I am looking for a decent webcam for the PS3 that will actually work, while I'm on a budget. I'd like to spend less than $40 and there are plenty of cams available for under that price but I'm not sure which ones would actually work. If it was up to me I'd just get the Playstation Eye but I don't have the money for it :( |

Hmm, maybe check out logitech's site or something? Surely they'd have something that was compatible for a decent price? How badly do you need one? Maybe it'd be worth waiting for the PSEye if you're not in a rush? Sorry I'm not much help lol |

ye true, im even thinking of flogging off some old games to buy the PSEye now. I've been reading up apparently while some Logitech cams do work, just choosing them as a brand is a bad idea because a lot of their cams need drivers. Also read that the latest XMB update made almost all cameras that work on Mac computers compatible, so basically any webcams that don't need drivers and are UVC compatible. |

ended up sucking it up and getting a PSEye pretty decent webcam/microphone combo, can sit the other side of the room and the mic will still pick my voice up easily compared to the speakers playing the game sounds which is right next to the camera, it manages to isolate my voice perfectly. and the video quality is good |

Coolio. Unlike the Xbox Live Vision Camera, I'll almost definitely be getting a PSEye when I get my PS3... |
